A vibrant six-petalled star, each petal a confident shade of pink, artfully brushed with a clean white stripe that radiates from its pale greenish-white throat. Fine, slightly darker veins trace across the petal surface, adding depth and catching the light beautifully, especially when backlit by the monsoon sun. At its centre, prominent golden-orange anthers stand out against the soft white. This classic form sits neatly atop a sturdy stem, holding its shape gracefully for several days after a good shower. A reliable and cheerful addition to any collection, it provides a bright splash of colour, blooming generously between June and October on the Indian peninsula.
